Things that makes me who I am
Greenopia is an internet powered Urban Farming concept that has won the first prize in the Indo-Russian Design Innovation Challenge 2014 (MTS Innovatsii 2014). The prize includes a fully sponsored educational trip to Moscow, Russia in February 2015 and an opportunity to present in the Indo-Russian Innovation Summit in Moscow.
Was the only masters student to present in the doctoral consortium of ACM Intelligent User Interface Conference 2014 in Haifa, Israel in February 2014. Presented a short paper on my internship design project 'Meemo'
Spacify, a futuristic play concept was one of the five finalist student projects and also the first runner up in the final challenge as part of IxDA Interaction 13 Conference in Toronto, Canada.
Tech Track Technologies Pvt Ltd is the first company that I founded at age of 13 (8th grade school). I assembled and sold customised personal computers successfully for 3 years to schools, colleges, banks and individuals. Later co-founded 2 other internet startups.
The places that made me learn
Hired on a special task to setup and lead the design innovation labs for one of its preferred technology partner Crossworks Pvt Ltd. Have been instrumental in design and development of innovative media properties for ITC, JWT, Wipro and others.
Studied Masters in New Media Design in National Institute of Design(NID), Gandhinagar, India. Subjects include: Media Theory, Interaction Design, Ethnography research, Experience design, New media art, Physical computing etc. Also specialised in Wearable design and Interactive Installations through self-interest projects
Interned under the most respected Wearable Designer Prof.Kate Hartman in OCAD University's wearable labs for a couple of months in 2013, where I developed project Meemo, in collaboration with fellow-designer Devyani Jain
Started working as a Research Associate in Education & Research department in Infosys. Was instrumental in designing video coursework for Infosys and through that project moved full time to Design. Have worked on Interface development & Information architecture for large scale ERP softwares and Mobile Applications of AON, Kellogs, Hallmark etc.
